At Words of Life Church, we believe in the power of prayer and the importance of coming together in unity as the body of Christ. Every Thursday evening at 7:00 PM, we gather for Spirit-led prayer, standing on the promise that “the prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working” (James 5:16).
During these times of prayer, we lift up:
- Our nation, president, and leaders at every level of government
- The state of Texas and our local communities (Humble, Kingwood, Porter, Huffman, Atascocita)
- Humble ISD and surrounding school districts
- Our church family and individual needs within the body of Christ
We begin each prayer service with communion, followed by worship, and then fervent, Spirit-led intercession. These nights are powerful and refreshing, as we press in together and allow the Holy Spirit to guide us. Time and again, we have witnessed God’s hand move in response – answered prayers, testimonies of healing, and breakthroughs. To God be all the glory!
Prayer is not a ritual. It is the lifeline of the church. As we gather in unity, we know heaven responds, lives are changed, and the Kingdom of God advances.
